How to bulk upload contacts
If you need to add a number of contacts to your phone system quickly, the bulk upload feature is a great way to do it. Here’s a straightforward guide to help you through the process.
Bulk Upload Steps
1. Log in to the Agilico Connect Admin Portal (https://customerportal.hp2k.co.uk/)
2. Click on
Contacts in the left-hand pane of the Customer Portal.
3. Click on the
Bulk Upload option, which will take you to the all contacts uploads page.
Description of Page Options
- Back to Contacts - Takes you back to the previous contacts page
- Upload - Takes you to the upload page, enabling you to upload your completed CSV
- Process Now - Processes the uploaded file
- Clear Upload Queue and Log - Clears the log of previously uploaded lists and any that are processing.
- Delete All Contacts - Deleted all contacts that have been uploaded to your account
- Template - Downloads the CSV template that you can use to import your contacts.
4. Click the Template option to download the CSV template.
5. Complete the template by adding all the contacts you want to upload and save, ensuring you maintain the CSV format.
6. Click the Upload button at the top of the page and select the CSV you created by clicking Choose File the browsing your PC for the CSV you created and clicking Open
- Fill in the required fields for each contact
- If there are sections that don’t apply to a specific contact, just put "N/A" (Not Applicable) in those fields. This helps the system understand that you intentionally left those sections blank.
Tips for a Smooth Upload
- Before you upload, take a moment to review the information in the template to ensure it’s accurate.
- Make sure all data is in the right format (like phone numbers).
- Always download the most recent version of the template to avoid any hiccups.
7. Once the file is selected, you will see next to the Choose file button the name of the file you have selected. If this is the correct file, click Submit
8. If the upload was successful, you will see a green popup in the bottom right corner that states “Contacts uploaded and ready for processing” appear briefly.
9. You can now click Process Now, you will see a green popup in the bottom right corner that states “X record(s) processed.”
Troubleshooting Common Issues
- If you run into errors during the upload, check for any missing required fields or formatting issues in the template.
- If the contacts don’t show up after processing, make sure the upload completed successfully and that you’re looking at the right contacts list.
10. You have now imported the bulk list of contacts. Click Back to Contacts if you would like to check that the list of contacts has updated correctly.
