If you are experiencing issues with low microphone volume, this is typically related to the PC or the microphone itself. In Windows OS, you can manually change the input and output volumes of programs and peripherals.

1. Click the Start Menu (Windows Icon on taskbar) and open Settings
2. Click System.
3. Select Sound.

You will now see two sections:

Output – devices that play sound (e.g. speakers or headphones)
Input – devices that capture sound (e.g. microphones)

Here, you select the headset under the input section and adjust the outgoing volume of the microphone. (Windows does try to adjust this automatically)

Further down, you will find the Advanced heading, which includes ‘All sound devices’ which allows Windows troubleshooting, and other sound options.
 

If you find your input device from this menu and click into it, you are presented with further audio options
 

Alternatively, if you go back to the Advanced heading and click into Volume Mixer, this will allow you to change input and output options for your devices and programs
