In this article we look at the steps to configure your audio devices for first use in the web or desktop app.
You must have both a working microphone and speakers to be able to make or receive calls.
When you first login to the app it will ask for permission to access the microphone. You will see a screen similar to the one below.

Make sure you press Allow. If you press Block, close the request or do nothing you will not be able to continue. Please see Troubleshooting at the end of this article for tips on recovering access to your microphone.
Once the app can detect access to your microphone, it will ask you to select which audio devices you want to use. The screen will look similar to the screenshot below.

If you plan to use a headset but you haven't connected it yet, you can still do so now.
To use the web app, at a minimum you must select a microphone device and a speaker device while making calls and your primary ringer.
Select these now and then press Save and Enter.
Your settings are stored and remembered within the browser.
